The 2007 Tour of Denmark ended with the 6th stage, a 176.5km race from Præstø - Frederiksberg.

Almost from the opening kilometre a trio of riders, Morten Reckweg (Team GLS), Michael Berling (Glud & Marstrand Horsens) and Fredrik Johansson (Team Designa Køkken) tried to establish their winning break with Clemens Frankhauser (Elkhaus-Simplon) putting in a big effort to join them after another 22km. Their lead grew to around 5 minutes by the 85km mark but from that point the CSC squad got to work and closed it all down so that with 8km to everyone was back together and the day was bound for a sprint finish.

At the line it was Mark Cavendish (T-Mobile) who prevailed from Juan José Haedo (Team CSC) and Graeme Brown (Rabobank) in 3rd.

This left the placings at the top of the GC unchanged with Kurt Asle Arveson taking his second Tour of Denmark title for the home team from Enrico Gasparotto (Liquigas) and Matti Breschel (Team CSC) in 3rd.

Thanks to his final stage victory, Mark Cavendish vaulted into the lead of the Points Classification to take the honours over Matti Breschel while Jacob Moe Rasmussen (Team GLS) took out the Mountains Classification.
